About AKSCONS
The Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences (AKSCONS) was established by law on 13 September, 2021 as a multi‑campus institution dedicated to advancing nursing education and professional practice in Nigeria. The College has its main Campus in Ikot Ekpene, with other campuses at Anua (Uyo), Ituk Mbang (Uruan), Eket and Oron. AKSCONS has rapidly earned recognition for its rigorous training and commitment to community‑focused training.
AKSCONS offers a four‑year National Diploma (ND)/Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programme, blending classroom instruction, laboratory practice and supervised clinical experience. Our curriculum, underpinned by the values of diligence, excellence and humanity ensures that graduates emerge as compassionate, competent professionals ready to meet the evolving demands of modern healthcare.
All programme are fully accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as well as the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). The programme is delivered in modern facilities that include advanced and fully‑equipped demonstration rooms, proximate healthcare facilities to support in‑field clinical experience.
