About Our Department

Excellence in Maternal/Child Healthcare

The Department of Midwifery at AKSCONS is committed to producing well-rounded, compassionate, and competent midwives trained to provide quality maternal and neonatal care across all healthcare settings. The department operates across designated campuses with strong historical roots, notably the Oron Campus, one of Nigeria's earliest midwifery schools.

With a rich heritage dating back to the 1930s, our department combines traditional midwifery wisdom with modern healthcare practices, ensuring graduates are equipped to serve in both rural and urban settings while meeting international standards.
