The department operates across designated campuses with strong historical roots, notably the Oron Campus, one of Nigeria's earliest midwifery schools.
With a rich heritage dating back to the 1930s, our department combines traditional midwifery wisdom with modern healthcare practices, ensuring graduates are equipped to serve in both rural and urban settings while meeting international standards.

O-Level Requirements:
Clinical Practice
Supervised Clinical Work Experience Scheme for hands-on maternal healthcare training
Evaluation Criteria:
Emphasis on ethics, punctuality, skills development, and professional supervision throughout the clinical experience.

Professional Licensing & Examination
Your journey from student to licensed professional Midwife.
Complete all academic requirements for RM programmes
Submit required client care studies and clinical experience logs
Complete and submit a research project in midwifery practice
Pass the Computer-Based Test (CBT) pre-professional examination
pass the Nursing and Midwifery Council Professional Examination
Obtain professional license as Registered Midwife (renewable every 3 years)
