The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, as part of its statutory activities, successfully organized a biennial workshop for prospective examiners

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, as part of its statutory activities, successfully organized a biennial workshop for prospective examiners involved in the nursing and midwifery professional examinations in Nigeria. The 2025 edition, themed "Competency-Based Assessment: A Foundation for Effective Nursing and Midwifery Education and Practice," aimed to equip prospective council examiners with the necessary knowledge and skills for effective and objective assessment during professional examinations. Participants included provosts, directors, lecturers in colleges of nursing sciences, coordinators and educators in post-basic and postgraduate nursing programs, heads and lecturers of departments of nursing sciences in Nigerian universities, clinical instructors, preceptors, and clinicians from nursing training institutions and healthcare facilities. The workshop was held across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
